How to Use Cricut Design Space to Cut EpicGami SVG Templates

Step 1: Create a new project

  • Open Cricut Design Space on your computer or mobile device and log in to your account.
  • Once logged in, click on the “New Project” button to open a blank canvas.

Step 2: Upload the SVG File

  • On the left-hand menu, click “Upload”. This will open the Upload section.
  • Click “Upload Image”.
  • You can either browse your files and select your SVG, or simply drag and drop the SVG file into the upload area.
  • Once the file is selected, it will appear on the screen. Click “Continue” to proceed.
  • Click “Upload” to upload the selected file.

Step 3: Prepare the SVG File

  • Select the outermost group of the SVG file and click the “Ungroup” button
  • Expand the first group and click on the first layer. This layer will likely contain numbers or lines that need to be drawn, so change the operation to “Pen”. You can confirm this by using the hide/unhide button to check the elements.
  • Click on the the second layer. If it contains scoring lines, change the operation to “Score”. You can also verify this by looking for the red color box next to the operation selector.
  • The last layer is typically for cutting, which is already pre-set to the default “Cut” operation, so no changes are needed.
  • After making these adjustments, select the whole group and click “Attach” to ensure that all the elements stay in place when cutting.
  • Repeat this process for any additional groups in the design.

Step 4: Make it!

  • After assigning operations to all the layers, click the “Make” button at the top-right corner
  • You’ll be taken to the Prepare Mat screen. From the Material Size dropdown, select A4 if you’re using A4 size paper.
  • Click “Continue”.
  • You’ll be prompted to select your material, which can be either “Medium Cardstock” or “Heavy Cardstock“, depending on what you’re using.
  • Pro Tip: If your blade is not new, set the pressure to “More” for a cleaner cut, and finally, cut your design!

That’s it! You’ve successfully uploaded and cut an EpicGami SVG file in Cricut Design Space. Now you can start assembling the project. Happy crafting!
